Omega-3 and your eyes

Everyone knows carrots are good for your eyes! (see a previous post about this common thought). However, there are many more diet considerations when it comes to your vision. We often recommend a diet rich in Omega-3 for eye health. This fatty acid helps fight inflammation in the body. It specifically targets the eyelid glands to help with dry eyes.

Good sources of Omega-3 are:

  • Fish (salmon, tuna, anchovies)

  • Oysters

  • Avocado

  • Kale and spinach

  • Nuts and seed (flax, chia, walnuts)
